Life lately…

Helloo! Over here! It’s me, back from another break. Not very good at this blogging lark, apparently. Bah, I never seem to find the time. I need Bernard’s Watch. Do you remember that? A little boy called Bernard who had a watch that could stop time and he could just carry on and do stuff. I’d like that watch. Wonder if eBay would come up trumps with that one??

Anyhoo, I digress. Yeah, I’ve been bad and not blogged for ages. So what’s happened since May…? Summer is here! Yayyyy. I love the sunshine and warm days, spending time playing in the garden (OMG my garden is literally THE BEST garden on the street. My fingers are officially green. Can you tell I’m proud of it?! Garden post to follow soon!) Having said this, Dan and I definitely haven’t been out drinking wine in the garden while the sun sets every evening like I’d pictured. I guess I’m spending half of the evening trying to put Baby J to bed, then by the time I’ve managed that, it’s cold and dark outside. Boo.

The wellbeing thing has been a bit up and down (as always). I’m still starting every week with renewed Monday Motivation, which generally lasts until Tuesday evening, when you can fine me knee-deep in Milk Chocolate Rounds (I mean, have you tried those things? They’re delicious!). And who has time to exercise? Not me. Having said that, I had the crazy thought of dusting off my bike this weekend, so watch this space!

On to Baby J! My favourite! She is chatting away all the time. This is definitely our favourite baby stage so far. We say that at every single stage, but this really is magical. She can communicate! A lot of the time she says no (!), but she can join in with songs, say dozens of words, and can even count to 10! Yes, we have produced a genius. Our little squishy does have her moments of sass, though. She’s fiercely independent and doesn’t like to be told to do something if it doesn’t fit in with her plan for the day. This has resulted in several difficult situations at the supermarket and shops, generally involving a trolley or car seat, loud shrieks and frantic writhing to attract the unwanted stares from passers-by. I’m sure this is a phase which will pass. #fingerscrossed

I’m hoping to update my blog with some more wellbeing posts, reviews and garden posts in the next few weeks, so please stay tuned! If there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, please do let me know!

Have a super weekend, people!
